HUMANITARIAN DESIGN LAB
February 2020, I founded the Humanitarian Design Lab together with three fellow students. Our focus is on design in the context of humanitarian work. A workshop was offered for students with the aim of jointly developing a definition of humanitarian design. Over six workshop days, participants were guided through the basic principles of humanitarian work and discussed the role of the designer.
In addition, three speakers were invited to give public lectures related to the workshop content. For example, Samir Alhaw spoke about his own journey as a refugee from Syria and Thomas Seibert spoke about his work as a human rights advocate at Medico International.
In collaboration with Thomas Jäger, Dylan McGuire and Daniel Becker
